Authorities say the incident began after they received reports of a single vehicle crash on a recent Sunday night. The car proceeded to collide with a nearby tree and the impact on the crash forced a passenger to be ejected from the vehicle, while the driver remained trapped within.
Authorities say they were able to extract the trapped individual from within the vehicle soon after arriving at the scene. Both men were reportedly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of severe injuries. Although an investigation into the crash is underway, it remains unclear what might have caused the driver to lose control of the car.
