Motor vehicle accidents: 1 killed, five injured in two-car crash

Being involved in a collision can be a scary experience and the outcome of the incident could have a significant impact on the lives of everyone nearby. Motor vehicle accidents have the unfortunate chance of leaving those involved with severe or permanent injuries or leaving family members in search of answers after an untimely loss. One person has died and five others were injured during a recent two-vehicle accident in West Virginia.

West Virginia State Police say they responded to the scene of the crash on a recent Tuesday afternoon. According to reports, the accident occurred when the driver of a northbound vehicle suddenly lost control after entering a curve in the road. The vehicle proceeded to veer across the road and collide with a second vehicle.

Authorities have advised that one passenger in the first vehicle suffered fatal harm and died at the scene. The other four occupants of this vehicle suffered serious injuries in the crash, three of whom were airlifted to a hospital in critical condition. Police advised that the driver and sole occupant of the second vehicle was also injured in the crash.

Motor vehicle accidents can have catastrophic results and losing a loved one or suffering life-altering harm during such an incident can be a devastating experience. Following the crash, the victims or surviving loved ones of the deceased may wish to seek accountability through the civil justice system, but the process can be complex. Fortunately, there are attorneys in West Virginia who can examine the incident and assist a person in pursuing the full amount of restitution entitled through a claim against the party deemed responsible.
