Motor vehicle accidents: Crash kills 2, injures 3

Two individuals have died and three others suffered critical injuries in a recent head-on collision that took place in West Virginia. Motor vehicle accidents that take place when a vehicle enters the wrong lane of traffic can have cataclysmic results. Those who suffer severe harm in such an incident may be left with a need for long-term medical care, while those who suffer loss may be left in search of answers, or justice.

The accident is said to have taken place at around 4:40 p.m. on a recent Wednesday. According to reports, the incident occurred when the driver of an eastbound truck crossed into the opposite lane of traffic and struck a nearby car head-on. Two passengers in the car reportedly suffered fatal injuries in the crash, while the driver of the car and three occupants in the truck were taken to a hospital shortly thereafter.

All three of those who were transported to a medical facility are reportedly listed in critical condition. Although law enforcement agents have initiated an investigation into the crash, no further information was provided as to what might have caused it to occur. Should the driver of the truck be deemed at fault, which is likely, the victims and the surviving loved ones of the deceased may wish to pursue accountability in civil court.

Being in a major collision can be a devastating experience. Those who suffer serious harm or encounter loss in motor vehicle accidents may choose to seek guidance on their available legal options from an experienced attorney. This type of advice could prove essential to preparing a person in West Virginia to pursue the full amount of restitution deserved through a claim against the party deemed responsible.
