Motor vehicle accidents: Head-on collision proves fatal

A 46-year-old woman died following a recent collision that took place after a vehicle veered across the median and into oncoming lanes of traffic in West Virginia. Motor vehicle accidents that take place under similar circumstances have the unfortunate chance of ending in catastrophe. Fatal collisions can leave surviving loved ones in search of answers, as suffering loss under such a scenario can be a difficult thing to accept.

Law enforcement agents say they responded to reports of the crash on a recent Wednesday evening. Preliminary investigations indicate it occurred when for as yet unknown reasons, the driver of a northbound vehicle suddenly drifted into southbound lanes. According to reports, this vehicle proceeded to hit an oncoming car nearly head-on soon thereafter.

Authorities say that the driver of the car was ejected from within and died at the scene of the crash. A second individual involved in the incident is said to have suffered injuries and was reportedly transported to a hospital for treatment. While the accident is currently under investigation, it remains unclear what might have caused the driver of the first vehicle to lose control and shift into the opposite lane.

Those who lose loved ones in fatal motor vehicle accidents may wish to exercise their rights to seek restitution through the civil justice system. Since the process can be complex, a person could benefit from retaining the services of an experienced attorney early on for assistance. An attorney can examine the circumstances a client in West Virginia is facing and assist in seeking the full amount of restitution to which he or she is entitled to receive.
