Motor vehicle accidents: Head-on crash injures 1, kills 2

A major collision can occur at any moment and each crash runs the unfortunate chance of leaving those involved with serious or even permanent injuries. Those who suffer severe harm in motor vehicle accidents may encounter a variety of hardships in life. A recent head-on crash in West Virginia has reportedly left one person with serious injuries and claimed the lives of two others.

Authorities advised that the accident took place at around 8:30 a.m. on a recent Monday. While many of the details surrounding the incident remain unclear, police say the crash occurred when an eastbound car suddenly cross through the median and drifted into the opposite lane of traffic. This car proceeded to collide head-on with an oncoming vehicle shortly thereafter.

According to reports, the driver and a passenger in the car both suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The driver of the second vehicle reportedly was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical care. While authorities have advised that the accident is under investigation, it remains unclear what might have caused the driver of the car to lose control and veer into an oncoming lane.

Individuals who suffer serious harm in motor vehicle accidents involving a negligent driver may wish to seek guidance on the next steps to take to seek restitution. By consulting with an attorney, a person in West Virginia could obtain advice on all his or her available legal options and how best to approach the situation. This type of guidance could help a person become better prepared to pursue the full amount of compensation entitled through a personal injury claim.
