Motor vehicle accidents: Rear-end crash injures 4

In some cases, a rear-end collision may cause little more than minor damage to each vehicle and put everyone involved slightly behind schedule for the day. However, sometimes, similar motor vehicle accidents can be more dangerous in nature, and they could leave those involved in the hospital with serious injuries. Four individuals were transported to a medical facility following a recent rear-end accident in West Virginia.

The accident is said to have taken place just after 6 p.m. on a recent Friday. Initial investigations indicate the incident occurred as the driver of a northbound car was attempting to stop for traffic. While she was slowing down, her car was suddenly struck from behind by another vehicle.

Law enforcement agents say that as many as four individuals were rushed to a medical facility for treatment of injuries via ambulance. Although an investigation is underway, no further details were provided as to why the driver who caused the crash failed to stop in time to avoid collision. With concerns such as tailgating and distracted driving, similar incidents are unfortunately far too common, and each of these collisions runs the risk of ending in disaster.

Becoming involved in motor vehicle accidents due to the negligent actions of another party can be a devastating experience. Those who suffer serious harm in such an incident may wish to exercise their right to pursue restitution through the civil justice system, and they could choose to retain the services of an attorney for assistance in navigating the process. This type of assistance could help a person in West Virginia better prepare to pursue the full amount of compensation entitled through a personal injury claim.
