Motor vehicle accidents: Chain reaction collision injures 3

When a vehicle strikes another with enough force, the initial impact could start a chain-reaction spanning across all lanes of traffic. Motor vehicle accidents that occur under similar circumstances can be devastating, potentially placing the safety of everyone involved in harm's way. A recent accident involving multiple vehicles in West Virginia has left three individuals with injuries.

The incident took place just before 6 p.m. on a recent Friday as an SUV suddenly struck a car from behind. The force of the initial impact threw the car into an oncoming lane, where it subsequently collided with another vehicle. According to reports, the driver of the third vehicle was trapped within while awaiting emergency responders.

All three drivers were reportedly taken to a medical facility for treatment shortly after the incident. Although an investigation into the collision is likely underway, no information was provided as to what might have caused the collision to take place. There are numerous circumstances in which a similar accident may occur, and many individuals have been forced to face a variety of hardships following a situation over which they had little to no control.

Those who suffer serious injuries in motor vehicle accidents due to the negligent actions of another party may be entitled to pursue restitution through the civil justice system. Since the process can be stressful and intimidating, one could benefit from seeking guidance from an attorney early on. An attorney in West Virginia can examine the situation, along with a client's injuries and financial needs, and assist in pursuing the full amount of compensation to which he or she is entitled through a personal injury claim.
