Legal Fees in Personal Injury Cases

In order to provide expert legal services to wronged or injured parties, regardless of their ability to pay, the law firm of Hill Peterson Carper Bee & Deitzler, PLLC, works on a contingent fee basis. It is called a contingent fee because whether or not the law firm receives payment is contingent upon whether or not you get paid. If we are able to obtain compensation for you, whether by a negotiated settlement or trial, our fee is a percentage of the amount we recover. If we do not succeed in obtaining compensation for you, you do not owe us any fee.

Costs and Expenses

Most of our clients cannot afford to pay litigation expenses in advance, nor to risk the costs that must be incurred to pursue a claim. Therefore, costs and expenses that are incurred on your case are ordinarily advanced for you by the law firm. In the event of a favorable outcome, the costs and exenses are repaid from your percentage of any recovery. If there is no recovery, you do not pay any fees and you do not reimburse us for the expenses that we incurred on your behalf (unless we have agreed otherwise in advance). In other words, if there is no recovery, the law firm is solely responsible for the costs of litigation unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
