DuPont C-8 Litigation

The Law Firm of Hill, Peterson, Carper, Bee & Deitzler, PLLC is one of three law firms designated as lead class counsel representing all persons who, for one year or more prior to December 4, 2004 acquired their primary drinking water from the water districts of Little Hocking, Belpre, Tuppers Plains, or Pomeroy Ohio, and/or Lubeck or Mason County West Virginia. All of those people are the beneficiaries of a class action settlement (Leach et al v. E. I. Du Pont De Nemours and Company) in the Circuit Court of Wood County, West Virginia at Parkersburg. Additional lawsuits have been filed on behalf of people who live in Parkersburg and several other areas of the country. At the present time, those additional lawsuits have not achieved class action status.

This website includes significant public information regarding C8 and related litigation. After reviewing this material, if you have additional questions, please feel free to contact us. If your primary drinking water supply has been from Little Hocking, Lubeck, Tuppers Plains, Belpre, Pomeroy, or Mason County, you may request us to represent you to seek compensation for health problems that may be related to C8 exposure. At this time, no law firms other than the three law firms designated as class counsel have successfully pursued claims for C8 exposure. It is therefore unnecessary to utilize referring counsel to acquire our representation.
