C-8 Frequently Asked Questions

I received a letter from the C8 Science Panel, asking me to fill out a form and respond. Should I answer?

Yes. The C8 Science Panel is doing further study and follow-up on the data acquired through the Brookmar C8 Health Project. It is important that everyone cooperate and participate. To the extent that more people participate, the science panel will have more data to work with. More data means more accurate and detailed results. Everyone in the community wants answers that we can absolutely rely upon, and therefore we recommend full cooperation and participation with regard to the C8 Science Panel's work. If you have any doubt as to whether the communication that you received came from the court authorized C8 Science Panel, contact the panel representatives directly at e-mail: panel.c8study@gmail.com.

I didn't save my blood test results. How can I get another copy?

Yes. Go to the C8 Science Panel Website and click on "C8 Test Results" on the left side of the science panel home page. The Science Panel will provide C8 blood test results to all persons who have consented to participate in ongoing or future studies. If you have not yet consented, it is not too late. Click on "Consent Form" (on the science panel homepage), and follow the directions provided.

I presently suffer from a serious health condition. Can I hire a lawyer and make a claim?

Yes, you can hire a lawyer (we are accepting clients for that purpose), but no claims can be filed by persons who fit within the definition of class members in the settled litigation until the science panel returns its findings. At that time, we are prepared to file claims on behalf of all affected people. If you would like for us to represent you on a C8 claim, go to the Making a C-8 Claim section of this website.
